The National Institutional Ranking Framework - NIRF, usually announces the India Rankings of colleges / universities around first week of June every year. The India Rankings NIRF 2024 was expected to be announced during June 2024.
However, this year, the MHRD is most likely to be pre-occupied with resolving the issues associated with recent NEET and NAT examinations. Hearings in this regard are taking place presently at the Supreme Court. Perhaps because of this, there seem to be a delay in announcing NIRF 2024 rankings.
Further, as per many institutional sources, the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) is still seeking clarifications from various institutes on the data submitted by them on the DCS - Data Capturing System, especially under the category of Innovation. The last date for submitting the clarifications with the supporting documents was July 5, 2024 as per a few the sources.

- Law
- Architecture and Planning
- Agriculture and Allied Sectors
- Innovation
The Innovation being the last category.
One may note that, the category of Innovation is the new and latest addition to the NIRF ranking categories, as ARIIA - Atal Ranking of Institutions on Innovation Achievements was abolished recently and merged into NIRF rankings.
Since the NIRF is presently working with the documentation of Innovation category, the NIRF 2024 rankings may be announced in a fortnight.
